Countywide Planning and Policy

The Planning Department’s Countywide Planning and Policy Division undertakes projects that span more than one geographic area, including adequate public facilities, environmental resources, historic preservation, housing, transportation networks, and zoning text amendments. While much of the Department’s planning work is site-specific, our division considers planning and growth management on a countywide basis. Among our tasks we produce functional master plans, policies and guidelines that impact multiple geographic areas.
