New Zoning Code and Zoning Map
Planners have rewritten the County’s zoning code and updated the zoning map to modernize antiquated, redundant zoning regulations, and to create new tools to help achieve goals in community plans. The new zoning code and zoning map were adopted by County Council in the spring of 2014, and became effective on October 30, 2014.
- The Commercial/ Residential and Employment Zones Incentive Density Implementation Guidelines have been updated to reflect changes in the new zoning code.

Online Zoning Code
To access the zoning code, click here and find the zoning code (Chapter 59) in the Table of Contents list on the left-hand panel of the page. Click on the plus symbol and select an Article.

Old Zoning Code and Zoning Map
