SILVER SPRING, MD – The Montgomery County Planning Department, part of The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC), has announced its August 2020 calendar of online meetings. Review the list of events below and go online to www.montgomeryplanning.org for more details. The Montgomery County Planning Board (M-NCPPC) will be on recess during the month of August.
The Montgomery County Planning Department and Planning Board will officially move into their new M-NCPPC headquarters in downtown Wheaton (2425 Reedie Drive, Wheaton, MD 20902) on August 17. The new headquarters will be closed to the public until further notice as staff practices social distancing.
August 4 – Join Montgomery Planning for an online listening session for the Silver Spring Downtown and Adjacent Communities Plan from7 to 8:15 p.m. Community members will have the opportunity to share thoughts, concerns and ideas for the future of Downtown Silver Spring and its surrounding area. RSVP for the August 4 meeting.
August 6 – Planning staff will hold online office hours from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the Silver Spring Downtown and Adjacent Communities Plan. Residents, business owners and other members of the community are invited to ask questions, discuss ideas and voice concerns about the future of the plan area directly to planners. Register for office hours on August 6.
August 12 – The Historic Preservation Commission will hold its meeting online. Consult the HPC meeting webpage for agenda information. Meetings are available live and on demand online.
