Montgomery Planning Announces December 2018 Events

Montgomery County Planning Board and Planning Department Events in December 2018

December 4 – Residents, business owners and others interested in the future of the Forest Glen/Montgomery Hills area are invited to a public meeting from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Planning Department headquarters (8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD). At this event, Montgomery Planning staff will present the preliminary recommendations for the Forest Glen/Montgomery Hills Sector Plan and the results of community outreach and studies for the plan. Staff will be available for informal discussions from 5:30 to 6 p.m., and the presentation will start at 6 p.m. RSVPs are encouraged but not required. RSVP for the event.

December 6 –The Planning Board will review the preliminary recommendations for the Forest Glen/Montgomery Hills Sector Plan, Greater Lyttonsville Sector Plan Design Guidelines and the scope of work for the Aspen Hill Vision Zero Study. For more details, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.

December 13 – The Planning Board will hold a work session for the Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan and review several preliminary plans for development. For more details, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.

December 20 – The Planning Board will hold work sessions for the Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan and MARC Rail Communities Plan, and review preliminary plans for development. More information is available on the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.

December 27 – The Planning Board will not hold a meeting in observance of the Christmas holiday and will return to its regular meeting schedule on January 10, 2019.
