Below are questions about three different “opportunity sites” (see map at right), or sites that have potential for future redevelopment. The sector plan will ultimately identify more opportunity sites in Friendship Heights, but this activity only focuses on three. The questions are similar for each site and are based on the discussion questions from the September 30 workshop.
For each site there is a packet of images including a map of each site, aerial view, context images and a 3D diagram showing surrounding building heights. These images are intended to be visual aids while you answer the questions. There is also a sheet showing several types of housing and can be used as you look at all three sites. Links to these images can be found in each subsection below.
