Montgomery County Planning Board and Planning Department Events in October 2018
October 4 –The Planning Board will review several regulatory cases and be briefed on the Department of Parks’ public private partnerships. For more details, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda.
October 11– The Planning Board will hold a meeting to discuss several preliminary plans for developments, among other issues. For more information, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.
October 11 – The Planning Department will hold a public meeting to begin a community dialogue about the Germantown Plan for the Town Sector Zone from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Upcounty Regional Center (12900 Middlebrook Road, Germantown, MD). The purpose of this plan is to analyze current land uses and densities, and prepare new zoning recommendations to replace the current Town-Sector (T-S) zoning.
October 18– The Planning Board will hold a work session for the Veirs Mill Corridor Master Plan and discuss preliminary recommendations for the Forest Glen/Montgomery Hills Sector Plan. For more information, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.
October 23– Transportation recommendation options for the Forest Glen/Montgomery Hills Sector Plan will be presented and discussed at a public meeting held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Planning Department (8787 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD).
October 25 – The Planning Board will discuss the mandatory referral for the Capital Crescent Trail surface route, among other projects, at this meeting. For more details, consult the Planning Board meeting agenda, which will be posted online 10 days before the meeting date.
