Cyrus Chimento is a Data Science Fellow in the Office of Spatial Analysis and Visualization at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics, working on transportation equity data and analysis. He holds a master’s degree in geospatial information science from the University of Maryland, during which time he worked as a research assistant at the National Center for Smart Growth, focused on transit-oriented development in the Purple Line corridor. He previously worked at the Washington Area Bicyclist Association and is interested in leveraging geospatial data, tools, and analysis to improve transportation and land use.
