What we’ve heard so far
As of January 11, 2022
Montgomery Planning Fairland and Briggs Chaney Master Plan team has been meeting with and listening to a variety of stakeholders, including residents, neighborhood groups, business owners, developers, service providers, elected and appointed officials, and county staff. Since May 2021, a range of ongoing community engagements efforts, both in-person and on-line have been used to gather the concerns, ideas, and aspirations of residents.
This feedback and input have been critical in identifying the key issues and opportunities for the forthcoming existing conditions report. The existing conditions report will provide a snapshot of the community’s current characteristics related to land use, zoning, demographic trends, market potential, transportation, community facilities, parks, recreation, open space, environmental features, and more.
Community involvement will continue to be sought throughout the planning process, including future community visioning sessions as well as opportunities to comment on draft plans and recommendation as they are prepared.
The data below are compiled from responses collected during the 2021 summer door canvassing interviews, the 2021 Fall Listening Series, and the Fairland and Briggs Chaney web questionnaire.
