Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), our team in the Research and Technology Center maintains a variety of geographic data – from building footprints to environmental features to park boundaries – to help staff at the Planning Department and Department of Parks prepare master plans, assess park needs, review development proposals and analyze county resources. By maintaining accurate data and developing standardized tools and visual designs, our staff produces detailed geographic data in 2D and 3D.
The public can benefit from our detailed data and information-rich graphics as well, available in a range of formats.
