In response to a request by the County Council, the Planning Department has prepared a Limited Amendment to the 1994 Clarksburg Master Plan, focusing on the Ten Mile Creek Area. See Link below.
The area includes properties in the Stage 4 analysis area defined in the 1994 Master Plan.
The amendment includes a comprehensive analysis of environmentally sensitive areas and modelling of the Ten Mile Creek watershed to determine ways to balance development potential and the community objectives specified in the 1994 plan with the need to protect water quality.
Ten Mile Creek feeds into the Little Seneca Lake reservoir, which flows to the Potomac River and contributes to the regional water supply.
The plan was delivered to the County Council in Ocober 2013, within a year of the Council's request.
New: Planning Board Draft Clarksburg Limited Master Plan for the Ten Mile Creek Watershed is available for public comment. The County Council will hold a public hearing on the evening of December 3, 2013. Please consult the Council’s web page for further information.
