the (Brooklyn) Waterfront"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"lead\">Brooklyn continues to reclaim its waterfront for public use. \u00a0The Brooklyn Heights Promenade, perched atop the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, offers a delightfully open place to&#8230;promenade&#8230;and has great views of Manhattan (even in the rain).<\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/montgomeryplanning.org\/blog-design\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/promenade-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1106\" title=\"promenade 1\" src=\"http:\/\/montgomeryplanning.org\/blog-design\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/promenade-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"513\" height=\"385\" of public spaces will be\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.brooklynbridgepark.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brooklyn Bridge Park<\/a>, an extensive redevelopment of the Brooklyn waterfront south of the Brooklyn Bridge. \u00a0Pier 1, the only completed section, opened while we were there. \u00a0Our lads, while not tots, gave it a thorough going over.<\/p>\n<a
