Description
A project plan has been submitted for the redevelopment of 134,952 square feet of land, located south of Thayer Avenue in the Fenton Village area of the Silver Spring Central Business District. Most of the property is zoned CBD-1 with the Fenton Village Overlay Zone; a small portion is zoned CBD-2. It is currently improved with low-scale commerical buildings and surface parking. A mixed-use development is proposed with 20,117 square feet of new retail uses; 146,245 of new office space; and 255 multifamily dwelling units. Building height in this area is limited to 90' for projects that are at least one-third residential. Underground parking is also proposed.
