Challenges
& Vision
The
three major challenges are: instability in some
residential neighborhoods; many struggling commercial
centers; and disconnected pedestrian and bicycle
routes. Therefore, the Plan's major vision is
to:

all Residential Neighborhoods
Revitalize
Struggling Commercial Centers

Pedestrian and Bicycle Routes

are several new approaches included in the
Plan:

Address Needs of Multi-Family Properties the

Zone.

Provide for More Ballfields and Recreation
Services the Plan recommends Acquiring
the Takoma Academy Site.

Complete Pedestrian and Bicycle Connections
the Plan recommends Initiating Detailed
