Mandatory Referral No. 05305-DPWT-1

Description:  This fire station is planned to serve mostly the West Germantown area.   The approximately 3.9-acre site is located on Germantown Road, at its (MD 118 at its southwest corner with Clopper Road (MD 117).  A one-story brick and concrete structure of over 16,000 square feet is planned.  The fire station will have six apparatus bays and will initially house an engine and two emergency units.   Eight on-duty career firefighters will initially be assigned to the unit.   Vehicular access to the facility will be from Germantown Road.  Construction is planned to begin in December, 2006.
